TCL has been persistent in the mission of “undertaking social responsibilities and becoming a good corporate citizen” and actively supporting social welfare activities. Since 1996, the Company and employees have donated more than RMB 100 million. As one of the first domestic companies raising corporate citizen behavior to the level of corporate strategy, TCL is committed to the establishment of “a respected and most innovative global leader".

The tradition of TCL supporting poor university freshmen can be traced back to 1996. In 2004, TCL Corporation donated RMB 26 million to establish the Hope Fund to build fifty primary schools.

In July 2004, TCL Corporation became a new donation sponsor partner of China Europe International Business School. All LCD, PDP displays of computers and other IT equipment in the campus were donated by TCL Corporation, up to a value of more than RMB 1.3 million.
TCL donated RMB 1.24 million to poor university freshmen from typhoon seriously-stricken areas
In August 2006, subsidized by TCL Dream Fulfillment Fund of Project Hope, more than 280 poor university freshmen from Fujian, Guangdong and other typhoon seriously-stricken areas eventually had their university dreams come true. The donation of RMB 1.24 million came from a spontaneous donation by ten thousand TCL employees.

TCL Corporation launched the “Eagle Program” that TCL volunteers support education
Since August 2008, in view of the inadequate teaching force in hope primary schools in remote and economically backward regions, TCL Corporation Youth League Committee worked with all its business units to launch the “Eagle Program” that TCL volunteers support education. The Corporation carefully selected elite employees with a high degree of social responsibility and public welfare spirit to become teaching assistant volunteers to full-time teach English, sports and art, which are three jobs with large demand gap.
TCL donated products to Anzhihao Hope Primary School in Wuchuan Country of Hohhot
In 2011, taking the 90th anniversary of the foundation of the Party as a good opportunity, TCL Corporation combined thanksgiving education to strengthening revolutionary tradition education by calling on all party members of the Corporation to pay special Party membership dues, to support TCL Anzhihao Hope Primary School in Wuchuan Country of Hohhot. On June 16, TCL Corporation paid the Hope primary school a return visit and donated teaching equipment and school supplies with a total value of RMB 75,000, including 2,000 supplementary books and five large-screen LED LCD TCL TV sets, which is a part of the "Thanksgiving" series of activities initiated by TCL Corporation this year to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the foundation of the Party and the 30th anniversary of its establishment.

TCL Vietnam company initiated TCL Outstanding Youth Fund
Since it entered Vietnam in 1999, TCL has made contributions to Vietnamese communities in culture, education and sports. On November 26th, 2004, TCL Vietnam company worked together with the Central Committee of the Communist Young League of Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Communist Young League of China and Chinese Embassy in Vietnam to initiate TCL Outstanding Youth Fund in 2000. Each TCL TV is sold in Vietnam; a donation of RMB 5 from the profit will be included in the Fund to subsidize excellent young people from Vietnam. Over the past six years or more, TCL has invested more than RMB 1 million to sponsor thousands of outstanding young people from Vietnam. In 2006, the Central Committee of the Communist Young League of Vietnam presented awards to TCL Vietnam Branch, which is the highest level of government recognition obtained by foreign companies in Vietnam so far.

The third education fund of TCL Project Hope was launched in Dong Nai Province, Vietnam.
On September 10, 2008, the third education fund of TCL Project Hope was launched in Dong Nai Province, Vietnam. Outstanding students and teachers in economic difficulty of eleven schools in the province received 100 million Vietnamese dongs of scholarships and maintenance grant provided by TCL Vietnam company.
