Innovations, product launches and demonstrations: IFA 2018, Europe's leading Consumer Electronics Trade Fair, gave TCL the opportunity to unveil its latest innovations. Review of this event which closed its doors on Wednesday, September 5.
It is an understatement to say that this press conference was expected! Entitled “Making Life Intelligent”, it is an opportunity for TCL to invite and bring together an international audience of journalists and technology enthusiasts to unveil its latest innovations and new products for the new school year.
The privilege of opening this event went to Kevin Wang, CEO of TCL Electronics. After a brief retrospective of the performance and development of TCL, the world's third-largest television manufacturer, Kevin Wang gave a preview of the group's plans at both European and global level.
The presentation of TCL's various sports partners, such as the brand's new Global Ambassador, Neymar Jr. and the recent partnership with FIBA, will be particularly noteworthy. These are partnerships that reveal a desire to bring the global TCL community together around common values.
Tiago Abreu, Senior Lead Product Designer at TCL was then given the floor with a presentation of the latest TCL TV models and a focus on the possibilities offered by Artificial Intelligence. Of particular note is the presentation of the new Living Window series with its stunning design, which aims to combine art, design and entertainment.
Tiago Abreu was able to arouse the enthusiasm of journalists and guests with this new series but also with the presentation of the new X8 model, a 4K and QLED TV set.
Frédéric Langin, TCL's General Manager Sales & Marketing Europe, then took over and affirmed the group's and brand's ambitions. Indeed, TCL is currently the fastest growing TV brand in Europe. After launching the distribution of TCL TVs in the United Kingdom a few months ago, Frédéric Langin announced the arrival in the second half of 2018 of TCL in Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
The press conference ended with the unveiling by Frédéric Langin of the highly anticipated new C76 Series, which will be available in Europe from mid-September, and which received the EISA “Best Buy LCD TV” award 2018-2019, in 55 inches.
A press conference, which aroused real impatience among the audience, curious to be able to observe more closely these highly anticipated innovations on the high-tech market. To conclude, we will remember these few words from Frédéric Langin, which summarize TCL's state of mind and ambition very well: “We are the future of TV”.
Friday 10 am: the impatience of the enthusiasts echoes in the aisles of the show up to the TCL stand. Haste shared with our team who were delighted to welcome visitors and present our latest models. A meeting dedicated to discovery thanks to the latest innovations available on the TCL stand.
The new C76 Series particularly caught the attention of visitors to the show, as it was one of the main attractions on the TCL stand. This new model combines exceptional and minimalist design with exceptional image quality thanks to the 4K HDR and Wide Color Gamut. A technological jewel that will also delight film and music lovers thanks to its JBL sound bar, which gives the C76 an incomparable sound quality: “An exceptional image deserves an exceptional sound”.
Olivier Semenoux, Product Manager Europe at TCL, also gave us the honour of a demonstration of the new Android 8.0 interface. Thanks to the Voice Search remote control, visitors were able to let their imagination run wild and test all the features of Google Voice Search. This discovery was highly praised by the audience both for its ease of use and the attractiveness of the various contents offered by Android 8.0.
This edition ended in style with the award of the “Best Buy LCD TV” 2018-2019 prize awarded to our new C76 model in 55 inches! For this occasion, an official award ceremony was organised not far from the IFA.
