August 16th, 2021 – TCL Electronics (1070.HK), one of the dominant players in the global TV industry and a leading consumer electronics company, has won three major awards from the Expert Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) including TCL’s first ‘Premium LCD TV 2021-2022’ EISA Award for its Mini LED 4K TV 65C825.
TCL’s other winning products include the TCL QLED TV 55C728 which won the ‘Best Buy LCD TV, 2021-2022’ and the TCL TS8132 Soundbar which won ‘Best Buy Soundbar, 2021-2022’.
TCL’s C825 has been awarded the ‘Premium LCD TV, 2021-2022’ by EISA’s image and sound experts for the first time in TCL’s history. It was launched in April 2021 in the European market and later in other markets across the globe.
TCL’s C825 TV comes with TCL Mini LED technology. Thanks to this high-performance Mini LED display, thousands of Mini LEDs deliver incredible brightness, for dramatic highlights and richer, more lifelike HDR performance; the precisely controlled Mini LEDs yield breathtaking contrast, which makes C825 capable of unveiling new details in dark areas and specular highlights simultaneously, for greater depth and dimension. On top of that, the C825 features state-of-the-art Quantum Dot technology, delivering genuine cinematic 100% colour volume made from over a billion colours and shades.
The EISA jury stated; “By replacing a conventional LCD backlight with a multi-zone dimming array comprising thousands of mini LEDs, TCL’s 65C825 4K TV ushers in a picture performance that belies its tempting price tag. Black levels and shadow detail are excellent, as is the precision of its HDR playback – Dolby Vision and HDR10+ are both handled, while HDR10 is fine-tuned by Dynamic Tone Mapping. Beyond its cinematic visuals, this Mini LED TV ticks plenty of other boxes, from a sound system designed in collaboration with Onkyo that provides largescale, full-range audio, to its Android smart platform and compatibility with next-generation games consoles. Approached from any angle, the 65C825 is a TV triumph.”
TCL’s C728 won ‘Best Buy LCD TV, 2021-2022’ and was also launched in April 2021. The TCL C728 combines 4K and Quantum Dot, 120Hz MEMC for superb and smooth 4K HDR picture quality with vivid colour performance. C728 also comes with Game Master and supports the latest HDR formats (including HDR10+, Dolby Vision IQ). The bezeless design of TCL C728 comes with an elegant metal central stand so that this large screen TV can be easily placed on any surface at home.
“TCL’s 55in 55C728 fulfils the brief of an affordable 4K TV. The set itself offers a slim-bezel styling with discreet desktop feet, while its features roster includes HDMI 2.1 connectivity, the Android TV OS – upgradable to Google TV later this year – and Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio support. Importantly, however, it backs up this appealing specification with a picture quality that’s a cut above the price point. TCL’s direct-lit QLED panel delivers a detailed, wide-colour performance with expressive contrast, bringing film, TV and gaming content to life. The integrated Onkyo-designed speaker system provides a punchy sonic accompaniment. Those seeking a versatile, living-room friendly flatscreen that won’t break the bank should look here,” said the EISA jury.
The TCL TS8132 Dolby Atmos Soundbar was awarded the ‘Best Buy Soundbar, 2021-2022’. Launched earlier this year, the TS8132 Dolby Atmos soundbar with wireless subwoofer, delivers incredible sound from users favorite streaming services, TV and games.
Users can experience Dolby Atmos with a new dimension driven by 3.1.2 channel setup offering a powerful soundstage. Not only will the audio performance amaze, but it also has a surprisingly sleek design.
TS8132 will also quickly become your living room audio hub with Chromecast built-in, Works with Apple AirPlay, Works with Hey Google and Works with Alexa connecting to all popular audio ecosystems. It also supports HDMI with eARC to connect to your TV supporting all audio formats and Dolby Vision compatible 4K pass-thru as well.
“Via a physical driver array incorporating a dedicated centre channel and twin upfiring units, plus a wireless subwoofer, TCL’s affordable soundbar system creates enveloping 3.1.2-channel sonics from a discreet design. Ideally suited to a TV-based setup, the TS8132’s dialogue handling, effects separation and detailing are strong points, as is the sense of scale brought by its deep bass response. native Dolby Atmos playback is supported, and stereo content can be upmixed through the soundbar’s surround mode. The specification is fit for a pricier model, too – dual HDMI ports, USB and optical digital audio make it easy to connect a range of sources, while Chromecast (with Google Assistant voice control), Apple AirPlay and Bluetooth usher in plenty of wireless potential,” said the EISA jury.
