There are two ways to transfer data.
Way 1: Go to “Settings” -> “Storage” -> you can browse the contents of this device, such as Images, videos, Documents & other etc. ->Open with Files / Files by Google
a) If open with Files-> long press to select the object you want to move -> touch the icon at the upper right corner side of the screen -> touch “Move to…” -> touch the icon at the upper left corner side of the screen -> touch “SD card” ->select a folder you want or create a new folder ->touch “MOVE” .
b) If open with Files by Google->long press to select the object you want to move->touch theicon at the upper right corner side of the screen -> touch “Move to” ->click “SD card" ->select a folder you want or create a new folder ->touch “Move here”.
Way 2: Go to “Files” ->“Internal storage” ->you can browse the contents of internal storage-> long press to select the object you want to move -> touch the icon at the upper right corner side of the screen -> touch “Move to” ->click “SD card" ->select a folder you want or create a new folder ->touch “Move here”.

Note: This Q&A question is only applicable to devices with TF card slot.
