Can I use MT50 in swimming pool?

The IP68 rating applies solely to static freshwater dust and water resistance under laboratory conditions, with testing conducted in still freshwater at room temperature and without any button operations. However, the dynamic water pressure generated by arm movements whilst swimming far exceeds the limits of static water resistance. Furthermore, the chlorine in swimming pool water and the salt in seawater can corrode the watch’s sealing gaskets, accelerating their deterioration. Operating the buttons underwater can also damage the sealing structure, leading to water ingress. Consequently, IP68-rated watches are not suitable for wearing whilst swimming.
