How to prolong Battery Life on Your TCL Basic Phone and TCL Smartphone
Learn how to maximize battery life on your TCL Smartphone.
Applicable for all TCL devices
Smartphones generally use lithium-ion batteries because of their versatility and safety compared to other energy sources, thus guaranteeing a good performance of the device.
"Battery level" is the amount of time your device runs before it needs to be recharged. "Battery Life" is the amount of time your battery lasts until it needs to be replaced. Maximize both and you will get the most out of your TCL smartphone.
Extend battery life
Use genuine TCL accessories
The lithium-ion battery is a smart battery that might not be fully charged or might not reach its maximum lifespan with a non-genuine charger. (Including power adapter and USB cable).
Use at an adequate temperature
The TCL Smartphone battery is designed to perform well in a wide range of ambient temperatures, from 16°C to 25°C (61°F to 77°F) as the ideal comfort zone. High temperatures during charging can lead to battery degradation and charging it at temperatures above 45°C will degrade battery performance, while at lower temperatures it can increase the battery's internal resistance, resulting in slower charging and longer charging times. When using your device in a very cold environment, you may notice a decrease in battery life, but this condition is temporary. Once the battery temperature returns to its normal operating range, its performance will return to normal as well.
* To prevent battery damage, the TCL smartphone will automatically stop charging or prevent you from using the device at extreme ambient temperatures and will alert you.
Do not fully discharge your phone's battery
Charge your phone when the battery level drops to 10%. If the phone's battery is completely discharged, the battery could drop into a deep discharge state.
Store it half-loaded when storing it long-term
If you want to store your device long-term, remember that the ambient temperature and the percentage of battery charge are important:
Information about batteries in Basic Phones
Our range of Basic Phones is designed to meet the needs of users who are looking for simplicity and/or whose circumstances require easy-to-use devices with a physical Keypad.
Due to the characteristics and dimensions, these devices integrate batteries of reduced dimensions due to limitation of hardware and to avoid excessive weight.
Basic Phones are designed so that they can be on standby for long periods of time, although their autonomy can be reduced when making calls depending on factors such as the network to which they are connected, battery capacity, active options and others.
The usual battery capacities of these devices are listed below. Although they may vary, these values are relative and in optimal conditions.

Tips for extending battery life
Update the system
Keep your device updated to the latest version
Go to [Settings]>[System]>[System Updates]* to check for updates.
*Note: May vary depending on your model and UI version.
Optimize system settings
Two simple ways to preserve battery life without affecting device usage: adjust the brightness of your screen and use Wi-Fi.
Activate on Low Power Mode
Low Power Mode is an easy way to extend battery life when it starts to run low. Your phone lets you know when your battery level drops below a certain percentage (e.g., to 20%) and then to 10%, and allows you to turn on the Saving Mode or Super Saving Mode.
Or you can enable [Settings]> [Smart Manager] >[Battery]> [Saving Mode / Super Saving Mode].
These modes reduce screen brightness, optimize device performance, and minimize system animations. You can still use key features like making and receiving phone calls, email, and messages. And when your phone charges again, the saving mode automatically turns off.
