TCL Tbot

Tbot is a desktop companion that gives kids watch a new life off the wrist. With magnetic docking, the watch screen becomes Tbot’s animated face, unlocking AI features such as an encyclopedia, object expolorer, focus timer, and bedtime stories. Crafted from eco-friendly materials, it turns a wearable into a warm, interactive companion that fosters healthy habits.

G-Mark Award Jury Statement:

To address the common issue of children forgetting to charge their devices, this product encourages voluntary behavior by transforming into a robot when placed on its cradle. In children’s devices, designing an experience that helps them maintain daily care habits without stress is an essential element. Behavioral design that turns a sense of obligation into enjoyment can serve as a new guideline not only for children’s products but also for future smart devices in general. The narrative remains consistent from the moment the device is worn on the wrist to the moment it is placed on the charging stand, creating a design that becomes a reliable partner for children throughout their daily lives.
