What Is Auto Offload on Fire TV?

When your device is running low on storage, the Auto Offload feature steps in to free up space by offloading apps that are infrequently used.  After 60 days of inactivity, apps that haven't been used may be automatically offloaded. Don't worry, though; offloaded apps retain your login information and settings preferences, making it simple to redownload and resume using them. Offloaded apps are indicated by a cloud icon on the app. Please note:

   - An internet connection is required to use Auto Offload.

   - You have the option to manually select which apps to offload by:

   - Navigating to Manage Installed Applications in your Fire TV settings.

   - Highlighting an app and pressing the menu button on your remote. Auto Offload is enabled by default on your device. You can toggle Auto Offload on or off in your Fire TV settings under Applications and then Auto Offload. The storage optimizer feature is not available on: - Fire TV devices with Kids profiles enabled  - Amazon Fire TV (2nd Generation) - Amazon Fire TV (1st Generation) - Fire TV Stick (2nd Generation) - Fire TV Stick (1st Generation) - Fire TV Stick Basic Edition
