Resolving Blank TV Display with Fire TV Devices

When starting or stopping streaming in 4K Ultra HD, your TV screen may briefly flicker or turn black. To resolve these issues, follow these steps: 

 1. Restart Your Fire TV Device: 

    - Restart your Fire TV device to refresh its settings. 

 2. Check Connections: 

    - Use the original connection equipment provided with your device. 

    - Ensure any A/V receivers or sound bars connected to your Fire TV are set to the correct input. Alternatively, directly connect your Fire TV to your TV. 

    - Disconnect and reconnect your Fire TV from the HDMI port. 

 3. Replace HDMI Cable or Hub: 

    - If issues persist, try using a new HDMI cable or HDMI hub (not included). 

 4. Use High-Speed HDMI Cable: 

    - For streaming 4K Ultra HD content, use a High-Speed HDMI cable (not included). 

 5. Remote and HDMI Port Matching: 

    - Match your remote's source or input button to the HDMI port connected to your Fire TV. 

 6. Toggle HDMI-CEC Device Control: 

    - Turn HDMI-CEC Device Control off and then on again: 

       1. Go to Settings on your Fire TV. 

       2. Select Display & Sounds. 

       3. Choose HDMI-CEC Device Control, turn it off, then turn it on again. 

 7. Cycle Available Resolutions: 

      - Press and hold the Up and Rewind buttons together on your Fire TV remote for five seconds to cycle through available resolutions. Allow your device to cycle through all available resolutions. 

 By following these steps, you can troubleshoot and resolve streaming issues related to 4K Ultra HD content on your Fire TV device.
