FM radio needs the earphone cable to act as an antenna, but most Type‑C digital earphones don't have a built‑in FM antenna, so they can't receive FM directly.
If you'd like to listen to FM radio with wired earphones, you can:
Use a Type‑C to 3.5mm adapter (as shown below), then plug in standard wired earphones.
