Does a higher battery capacity (mAh) always mean a longer-lasting phone?

The actual battery life is determined by the combined effect of "Battery Capacity" and "Overall Device Power Consumption." Such as the processor's power efficiency, screen technology, system optimization, network conditions and user habits all significantly impact the final battery endurance experience.

For example:

§   Avoid apps frequently waking up in the background and draining power.

§   In areas with weak signals, the phone continuously boosts signal search, leading to a substantial increase in power consumption.

It is recommended that while you focus on battery capacity, also refer to official battery life test data and real user feedback for a comprehensive assessment of a phone's endurance.

If your phone is an EU version, you can go to “Settings” -> “Battery”->check the "Battery Health" information.

Maximum Capacity: This shows the current maximum charge capacity of your battery as a percentage of its original capacity when new. The capacity of all rechargeable batteries diminishes over time, which is normal.

Charge Cycle Count: This refers to the total number of times the battery has been fully discharged by 100% (e.g., using 60% and charging to full one day, then using 40% the next day, counts as one cycle). It is a key metric for measuring battery usage.

There is no precise, fixed correlation between Maximum Capacity and Charge Cycle Count, as this is related to phone usage habits. Good usage habits result in lower battery wear.
