If you've been keeping up with tech news, then you're probably aware that Google has a new operating system for their smart TVs. But did you know that there's also a new TV from TCL that runs on it? In case you didn't, this article will fill you in on what it's like to have one! The TCL P735 is the latest update of the TCL P7 Series. Compared with the former version P725, they have kept some features in the new model but also made some exciting upgrades!
● Stunningly high 4K resolution combined with HDR brings you a better viewing experience with clear picture quality no matter where you sit in the room.
● Better picture quality: with four times more pixels than Full HD, this TV delivers rich and detailed images for a more engaging viewing experience on your favorite movies, shows and games.
● Ultra-wide color spectrum: enjoy every shade of your entertainment from new HDR content with richer colors to blacker blacks.
MEMC is a feature to reduce the TV power consumption. MEMC stands for motion estimation/motion compensation, which calculates motion by recognizing objects in an image frame by frame with advanced algorithms. MEMC decreases flicker caused by fast-moving images on a TV screen without losing any details or brightness in scenes with varied lighting conditions such as sunlight or reflected light from windows or other sources. When you first use your TCL P735, it will automatically detect your location and adjust based on it. It can also learn how much light or dark you typically watch at various times of day. If you've got an evening ritual of lights out and all-night binge watching, it won't constantly adjust the brightness throughout.
Dolby Vision is a high dynamic range (HDR) technology that enables both visual and audio fidelity. It’s not just about brightness, but also the contrast between light and dark elements in an image. What makes Dolby Vision noteworthy is its support for scene-to-scene variation in brightness levels and a color gamut creating a more immersive viewing experience.
Dolby Vision has been around since 2016, but now it’s time to make its debut on TCL TVs with Google Assistant built in!
The TCL P735, like all Google TVs, runs Android TV and comes with the Google Assistant built in. Simply ask for what you want to watch, and the Assistant will show you results from your apps or videos on YouTube or Netflix. When you're watching a movie, give it a command to find similar movies available on Prime Video or Hulu (or one of many other subscription services), and play them right away! The interface has been redesigned to make it easier than ever to find what you're looking for on your TV screen—and we haven't even mentioned channels yet!
As the name suggests, Hands-free Voice Control 2.0 enables you to control your TV with a voice command. This is possible via Google Assistant built in. With this feature, you can choose your favorite shows and channels on your TV without any remote control or other input devicesYour voice alone is enough! You can say “OK Google” or “Hey Google” followed by a command such as “What's the weather like today?” or “Play the movie Frozen 2 on Netflix.”
Chromecast built-in allows you to stream entertainment from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop to the biggest screen at home. With Chromecast built-in, you can use your phone as a trackpad and keyboard for easy text entry on your TV screen—whether it's searching for something new like "How many calories are in a banana?" or reminding yourself what channel is playing "Game of Thrones."
WCG is a new standard for displaying contents with higher color gamut and brightness. It supports the HDR format, which allows you to enjoy vivid colors and rich contrast on your TV screen.
The difference between WCG and HDR is that WCG supports a wider range of colors (100% DCI-P3) while HDR shows more details in the dark areas of images but has less color space than WCG (90% DCI-P3).
OK Google is a voice command feature used to perform sorts of tasks. It's available in most Android devices and activated with the phrase "OK Google" followed by a command or question.
For example, you could say: "OK Google, what's the weather like?" To respond, OK Google will read out the current conditions of your location (or any other location you specify) and offer any relevant suggestions on how to dress appropriately. You can also ask questions such as “What time is it in Boston?” or "Who won last night's game?
The main advantage of OK Google is that it allows users to interact with their phones hands-free without touching their screens. It doesn't require a network connection either, making it useful when traveling overseas where data roaming charges are high or unavailable altogether. This is due to the restricted service of providers' networks and non-compatibility with GSM standard used by American carriers such as AT&T and Verizon Wireless
Google Duo is a video calling app to make high-quality video calls with your friends and family. A simple user interface makes it easy to start a call, so you can be up in seconds. You have the option to use your phone’s front-facing camera or the rear camera for Duo calls.
Google Duo works on Android, iOS smart phones, tablets, computers, and Smart Displays.
The TCL P735 is an edgeless design TV. It’s a sleek and stylish design, with minimal bezels enable you to enjoy your favorite contents without distractions.
You don’t have to worry about losing focus on the screen either, since it has been designed with an Ultra-thin Frame for a more natural viewing experience. The result? An immersive viewing experience letting you focus on what matters most— watching your favorite shows!
The P735 is compatible with Alexa voice control, making it user-friendly. Just say the name of a TV show or movie and your TV will pull up the right information on screen. This also works for apps like Netflix and YouTube. You can ask Alexa to play that episode of Friends you've been meaning to watch or start playing “Gangnam Style” without ever unlocking your phone or tablet. You’ll need an Amazon account if you want to take advantage of this feature, but once you have one set up on your device(s), everything else should be straightforward—just connect them via Bluetooth and go!
The Electronic Program Guide (EPG) feature helps you find your favorite channel and program. This is a notable feature for users wanting to know what's on TV right now. For example, if you want to watch a game or movie stream but don't know what channel it's on, just use this feature with the TCL P735 TV and search for it in the EPG!
The EPG is available for most of the channels, so there's no need to worry about missing out on your daily dose of entertainment.
This series has big screens, too. In addition to the former size options (43, 50, 55, 65), P735 have introduced the 75-inch model as well. The 75-inch TCL P735 has a viewing area of 732 square feet, more than enough for the whole family to sit down and enjoy contents together.
TCL's newest Google TV P735 is a great option for anyone wanting an effortless way to cut the cord and stream TV. With support for 4K HDR and Dolby Vision contents, it's also one of the best options for streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
