TCL North America is looking for a Marketing Intern to work closely with our marketing team to develop and implement marketing plans and strategies for our brands. As we continue to grow, a successful intern will assist and gain experience across all areas of marketing. This position will gain firsthand experience working in a professional environment. Furthermore, they will work closely with our Events, Digital, and PR managers, while reporting to the Director of Marketing.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in maintain all Social Media accounts, engage with followers, work on the content calendar, and track and report on performance and engagement
  • Assist Events Manager in event preparation, organization, setup and execution
  • Represent TCL at a variety of industry and partner events, including movie premieres at TCL Chinese Theatre, sporting events at the Rose Bowl
  • Assist in creating original content for blog posts/videos and format stories from other writers for publication including editing, formatting, and finding/editing images
  • Support digital marketing manager to refresh and maintain content on TCL website and retail partner sites
  • Collect, clean, and organize data from various sources
  • Organize and maintain marketing shipments and inventory
  • Perform additional duties as needed

Qualification/Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task/manage priorities
  • Must be professional, proactive, self-motivated, dependable with a positive attitude
  • Friendly, outgoing demeanor and ability to engage with consumers in person and online
  • Must be empathetic, sensitive, patient and discretionary when handling customer concerns
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Comfortable with working with data sets within Microsoft Excel)
  • Understanding and experience with social media
  • Strong communication, project management, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Currently enrolled students or recent graduates, within a year from graduation date
  • Candidate must be available to work the required hours (approximately 24 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
  • Able to provide own housing and transportation for daily commute to Irvine, CA
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • School transcripts (official or unofficial)
  • Fluent in Mandarin
