TCL and XBOX Partner to Bring XBOX App to TCL Smart TVs

[Berlin], [Sep 4th] - The living room screen is about to become an even better place to play. TCL today announced plans to bring XBOX Cloud Gaming experiences to select TCL smart TVs, giving players in supported markets an easy way to go from the home screen to gaming on the biggest display in the house. The experience is planned to arrive on eligible TCL models through a future software update.

The television has spent a decade becoming the centre of streaming shows, movies, and music. TCL is now extending streaming to gaming: pick up a compatible controller, sign into your XBOX account, choose a supported title and play – on a screen built for scale, colour and motion. Availability, features and content will vary by model, market, network conditions and applicable XBOX subscription or entitlement.

Just the Screen You Already Own.

For eligible TCL models in supported markets, the planned experience is designed to put supported games a few clicks from the home screen.

· Select TCL smart TV models. Planned for eligible devices in supported markets, subject to TCL product qualification and XBOX requirements.

· Delivered through a future software update. TCL plans to enable the experience in phases; specific models, markets and timing will be announced by TCL.

· A library worthy of the big screen. Supported games may span major releases, independent titles and multiplayer experiences, depending on the user’s subscription or entitlements and market availability.

Made for the Way Games Look and Move

A big screen only matters if it can keep up. Across eligible TCL models, 4K resolution, high refresh rate panels, wide colour gamut, colour calibration and motion processing are designed to hold detail and colour steady when a scene moves fast – the moment a corner is taken late, or the camera swings across a crowded frame.

Low-latency tuning and audio optimization are intended to support responsive control and immersive sound, so the action feels connected to the controller in the player’s hands. Actual experience will vary by model, title, network conditions and service settings.

A Bigger Stage for Cloud Gaming

Bringing XBOX Cloud Gaming to eligible TCL models widens where gaming can appear in everyday life – the TV in the living room, the screen in the bedroom, the monitor on the desk. For TCL, it deepens the smart TV as an entertainment platform. For players, it means fewer steps between wanting to play and playing.

TCL and XBOX plan to continue working together on device qualification and the on-TV experience as availability expands.

Planned Availability

XBOX Cloud Gaming experiences on select TCL smart TVs are planned to become available through a future software update on eligible models in supported markets. TCL will announce specific models, markets and timing. Access requires a compatible controller, cloud playtime with a Game Pass subscription, stable internet connection
