Position Summary:

The Demand Planning Manager owns the demand planning and forecasting processes for Soundbars and Home Appliances. This candidate will develop, maintain, and monitor variances and trends for the demand plans.

The Demand Planning Manager will work closely with sales and the supply team to identify and resolve changes in the forecast and their impact to the supply chain. The position will be accountable for leading cross-functional meetings and actions to drive consensus forecasting by looking at variables such as product lifecycle, demand patterns, competitive market. The position is responsible for process, key reporting, and continuous improvement across every department.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Soundbar and Home Appliance business
  • Assist with TV business in reporting and tracking weekly TV US market
  • Conduct weekly/bi-weekly CPFR calls with our major retailers
  • Create and maintain a rolling sell in plan by major accounts
  • Conduct weekly and daily sales forecasts and account reviews to create reports and compare against objectives
  • Monitor inventory levels, sales changes, and market conditions
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the supply and order management team
  • Preparing and presenting agreed-upon forecast to a variety of stakeholders
  • Assist the Director of Business Planning and VP of Sales to develop short- and long-term strategic plans, including the preparation of annual Business plans and budget
  • Implement systems ensuring strong follow-up management occurs on action items and questions with relevant senior leaders
  • Communicating status, risks, and blockers regularly with extended stakeholder group
  • Develop new reporting to help drive continuous improvement across the company
  • Document and update business processes, roles & responsibilities, and work-link-flow (process mapping)

Qualification/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and at least five years’ experience in forecasting; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong computer related skills, including Microsoft Suite, are required
  • Strong analytical skills including large volumes of data and business insights are needed
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with confidence at all levels of the organization
  • Must possess detail orientation, solid execution capabilities, and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines with appropriate priorities
  • Work effectively and collaboratively across departments and functions
  • Experience of working in and collaborating effectively in multi-site, virtual and cross-cultural contexts
