Position Summary:

TCL North America is looking for a Director of Sales, Home Centers to help establish and grow our Appliances and Home Comfort categories within key retail accounts. Reporting to the Vice President of Smart Home Appliances, this role requires a self-motivated, collaborative professional with a passion for driving sales and delivering results. The ideal candidate thrives in a diverse organization and brings strong cultural competence, enabling effective communication across different cultures and cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and collaborative sales leader with a strong track record of exceeding sales goals and managing relationships across multiple buyers and product categories. They possess the ability to interact confidently at all levels within a customer's organization and are comfortable taking initiative, making decisions, and embracing new challenges.

 

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Drive TCL's market entry and growth in the Home Comfort and Appliances categories by positioning the brand as a competitive and reliable choice within major retail accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of retail partner organizations, from buyers to senior leadership, ensuring alignment on business goals and opportunities.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals, with a focus on delivering profitable growth and achieving strategic objectives across assigned retail accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with both customers and internal teams (such as supply chain, demand planning, and marketing) to deliver accurate sales forecasts and manage inventory effectively.
  • Deliver actionable insights on market trends and competitive activity to inform strategy and drive increased market share for TCL within key retailers.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination efforts, ensuring seamless execution across internal departments to support account development, promotional execution, and operational excellence.

 

Qualification/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent required
  • 10+ years of experience in appliances or home comfort, with a proven track record of success working with major retail chains such as Home Depot and Lowe's
  • Demonstrated history of exceeding sales targets and driving profitable growth
  • Experience managing multiple buyers across diverse product categories
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels within customer organizations, from buyers to senior executives
  • Strong initiative and decision-making skills; comfortable taking ownership of challenges and responsibilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced analytical and mathematical abilities, with experience in demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%
  • Culturally competent and effective in communicating across diverse teams and work environments

Salary Range: $160,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year

Schedule: 8-hour shift
