Position Summary:

This position calls for a self-motivated and versatile Graphic Design Intern who is passionate about visual storytelling, innovative design concepts, and creating compelling visual experiences. The internship will provide a professional environment for learning and developing skills in collaborating with cross-functional teams, tackling real-world design challenges, and gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard design software and tools. It's an opportunity to refine your creativity, hone your design techniques, and contribute to projects that have a meaningful impact. Additionally, interns will have the chance to develop skills in communicating with TCL professionals who specialize in Marketing and Graphic Design.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Create modern, compelling, unique, and inventive designs that also follow TCL North America branding guides and standards
  • Work with creative team to develop and produce social media content including Facebook, Instagram and other social/online visuals, infographics, and promotional elements.
  • Apply ingenuity, creativity, analytical, and organizational skills to identify and evaluate design problems and develop strong solutions
  • Be well versed in both digital and print mediums
  • Ability to prep files for production to exact requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments within TCL North America to achieve the best possible product
  • Be aware of current market trends in both design and content consumption
  • Experienced in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Advanced skills in visual design, Web Design, print standards, color theory, and typography

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Quick-learner with ability to take direction, work under pressure and operate as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • An extreme attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels
  • Currently enrolled students or recent graduates, within a year from graduation date
  • Candidate must be available to work the required hours (approximately 24 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
  • Able to provide own housing and transportation for daily commute to Irvine, CA
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • School transcripts (official or unofficial)
