Job Summary

TCL North America is looking for a Senior Field Marketing Manager who will play a pivotal role in driving the retail sell-through success of new hardware products and managing post-launch performance through strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration. This role is highly collaborative, requiring seamless coordination with internal teams such as Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and Marketing. The ideal candidate will combine a strategic mindset with strong analytical and operational capabilities to optimize retail channel performance, improve sellout rates, and enhance TCL's competitive position in the market.

As a Senior Field Marketing Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to shape the future of TCL in the North American market. You will be responsible for monitoring and driving retail sellout metrics, ensuring alignment between inventory flow, promotional activities, pricing strategies, and market demand. Post-launch, you will analyze sales data and consumer insights to continuously refine retail execution and support aggressive growth targets. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to make a measurable impact on TCL's retail success and overall market presence.

 

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Regional Retail Strategy & Program Design
    • Analyze regional sales data, retail environment, and competitor activities to identify key gaps and opportunities.
    • Develop actionable retail programs for the West region, including core model focus, store-level campaigns, and field team activation plans.
  • Field Execution & Store Visit Rhythm
    • Implement a 3-day weekly field visit cadence, prioritizing high-opportunity stores, and 1 week per month to travel to other west region markets.
    • Ensure planogram execution, display readiness, demo availability, and sell-through actions (e.g., SO competitions, real-time training).
    • Track execution gaps and quickly deploy corrective actions.
  • Team Leadership & Partner Management
    • Manage and coach a network of 3PL Market Managers. Set expectations, conduct performance reviews, and build a culture of ownership and result-driven mindset.
    • Coordinate with external retail agencies and ensure their execution aligns with TCL priorities and timelines.
    • Identify and grow high-performing frontline talents for future needs.
  • KPI Ownership & Reporting
    • Accountable for all retailer KPIs: Store/model-level sell-out, display execution rate, store coverage, training impact, and regional sellout performance.
    • Deliver weekly reporting and performance readouts to headquarters with actionable insights and the next steps
    • Quick execution of key actions for maximum impact of sellout results.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Serve as the West region voice in broader retail planning. Work closely with Head of Sellout management in collaboration with Sales, Channel Marketing, and eCommerce to align regional execution with national campaigns.
    • Provide structured feedback to headquarters on what works-and what doesn't-to improve future retail toolkits and campaigns.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in retail operations, field sales, or channel management, preferably in consumer electronics or durable goods
  • Strong track record of retail execution in high-volume retail chains such as Best Buy, Costco, Walmart, or Target
  • Proven experience managing third-party field teams or supervisor networks across multiple markets
  • Hands-on leadership style with a bias for action - comfortable spending 3+ days/week in-store, solving problems on the ground
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement retail programs, including incentive plans, product focus strategies, and sell-out initiatives
  • Excellent analytical skills - able to read data, identify performance gaps, and propose actionable solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with store personnel, agency partners, and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to balance short-term execution with long-term strategic thinking; can both "do" and "plan"
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the West region (up to 60%)
