TCL is not only going bigger with TVs in new sizes, the brand’s TVs will as well showcase the most innovative technologies in Picture Quality, for example the cutting edge Quantum Display TV and OLED TV. These TVs are also getting smarter, with industry-leading interactive features including multi-media sharing, smart remote control and electronic program guide.
At IFA 2014 TCL is exhibiting a comprehensive line of 4K UHD TVs. A World Premiere, the 110’’ 4K Ultra HD Curved TV features a 4K resolution LED backlit-LCD display, active 3D technology, dynamic backlighting, and an 800 nits brightness rating in the ideal curvature for a cinema experience at home. It offers 55 degree field of view at 3 m viewing distance, perfectly matching 4K UHD and cinema content production rules, high picture depth with near glass free 3D effect and infinite black without reflection.
Although slightly smaller at 85”, the TCL Dolby Vision TV packs a serious visual punch. Dolby Vision™ delivers a dramatically different visual experience by reflecting real-world clarity. Astonishing brightness, infinitive contrast, and wide gamut col or range bring entertainment to life and capture the vibrancy of the real world.
The curved 65” H9600 is a super-thin smart 4K UHD TV, which claims to have the best curvature for the optimum viewing experience. Consumers can enjoy 4K content through 4K streaming with HEVC decoding, 4K devices through HDMI 2.0, or upscaling HD content. TCL 4K UHD Super Resolution upscaling technology ensures top notch conversion to deliver a perfect picture experience with sharp edges, picture details and dynamic range.
TCL 4K UHD TVs come with an impressive array of interactive features. The new Smart TV.2 interface offers the best of both broadcast and internet worlds in an optimized ergonomics by integrating all TV’s functionalities in the same interface, The GuideOn content ecosystem not only provides 21 days EPG for most of available channels but as well enriched information about current program and a classified index to help users find exactly what they’re looking for.
Thanks to the GoLive technology watching popular TV channels around the world will be simple as never before as it aims to provide global web TV channels and Cinema live shows through Smart TV directly to the consumer’s home, with a smooth picture quality and short buffering time.
The TCL booth at IFA will also feature a 55” OLED which is the first OLED manufactured in China, as well as a 55” Super Wide Gamut TV using Quantum Dot technology. The TCL 55” OLED is slimmer than a mobile phone and has deeper, Super Wide Gamut colors and stunning contrast for an unparalleled viewing experience. The super Wide Gamut TV with Quantum Dot delivers 140% of sRGB (current LED TV delivers ~98% of sRGB) color gamut (100% NTSC) to reproduce colors in line with color space used in cinemas, giving the TCL 55” QD TV most real word like picture quality. The QD TV also delivers a crystal clear image that presents viewers with a true-to-life entertainment experience.
“We’re transforming from being a traditional electronics manufacturer to an entertainment technology company,” said E Hao, CEO of TCL Multimedia. “We want to take this opportunity at IFA to show this transformation through our new interactive technology.”
