TCL’s new range of TVs for 2023 have landed and are now available in-store and online at selected retailers.

This year we have an increase in the maximum screen sizes on offer across the full range. Additionally, the amazing accessibility and functionality of the Google TV interface now comes standard in all 2023 models.

Let’s take a look at some of the features available in this years smart TVs before moving on to an overview of the various series in the TCL 2023 lineup.

TCL 2023 TV Features Overview

Ongoing development and innovation has seen the progression of TCL’s amazing enhancement technologies from the top-end down into the more entry level models. Of course, the high-end TVs have seen an increase in the maximum screen sizes available as well as delivering all the amazing features TCL have on offer.

Mini LED Backlight

TCL’s Mini LED screens utilise much smaller and brighter LEDs than conventional LED televisions. This prevents light from flaring beyond its intended position on the screen. This thereby results in deeper, darker blacks, brighter and more vivid colours, and better colour accuracy. Combined with Full Array technology (see below), this delivers the best viewing experience TCL has to offer.

Extra-Large Screen TVs

The 2023 range of smart TVs really get a boost when it comes to screen size. Starting at screen sizes of 55 inches, the top two series for 2023 now offer huge 98-inch models. Experience big screen viewing in your own home like never before.

Google TV

Google TV is a software platform that manages all your entertainment in one location. Just imagine; all the shows and movies from every streaming service you subscribe to will now be displayed in a single place. You can even peruse and add programs to your watchlist from any service. Based upon your viewing history, Google TV can also provide viewing recommendations for you from across all streaming services.

Additionally, the Google TV platform is multi-device capable. For example; you can explore viewing options on your mobile phone during the day, add them to your watchlist, and have them available on your TV when you get home. Similarly, if you want to watch shows on your phone or tablet, all your options and choices are there.

Google TV also includes Hey Google functionality – get sports results, weather updates, play music, or control smart home appliances from any of your connected devices.

Quantum Dot

Quantum Dot technology uses a layer of light-emitting nano-crystals that enhance the vividness of the backlight. Also known as QLED, Quantum Dot produces a wider colour gamut with brighter and bolder colours. Simultaneously, it also offers cleaner whites and more precise colour accuracy to deliver a “true-to-life” viewing experience.

Full Array

Full Array LED technology organises the thousands of individual LED elements into hundreds of local dimming zones. The levels of brightness and contrast can be separately controlled for each of these local dimming zones. This allows smoother and more uniform illumination across the whole screen, delivers deeper blacks, boosts overall screen contrast, and offers more accurate colour reproduction.

Enhanced High Dynamic Range (HDR10+)

All of the 2023 TVs now include as standard both HDR10+, and Dolby Lab’s similar technology, Dolby Vision. Both of these standards bring colour, contrast, and brightness controls that bring billions of colours to your TV screen. They offer amazing colour accuracy plus vibrancy to your games, movies, and shows.

Gaming Features

Your gaming experience on a TCL television will be exceptional. A variety of innovative features make gameplay smoother and more enjoyable.

  • Clear Motion Rate (CMR). Smooths fast-paced movement on-screen and removes motion blur for unrivalled viewing of action scenes.
  •  Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) 144Hz. By matching game framerates with the screen refresh rate VRR drive gaming experiences free from screen tearing and stutter.
  • Freesync Premium Pro. A similar technology to VRR, it supports low framerate compensation (LFC), HDR gaming, and low latency.
  • Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). Minimises input lag and provides smooth and responsive gameplay.
  • HDMI 2.1 delivers huge bandwidth, handling even high framerates on 4K with ease.
